I saw this poem online this morning and got to thinking of where I grew up. Daddy built the house at 3774 Leech Road way back in the 30's before I was born. We lived out in the middle of nowhere but we didn't live without neighbors. The Leech family was across the street, the Maddens next door, my brother's house was to the left of this picture and we all lived in a place called the Levi community.
Friends
Friends smile at you.
They like your face.
They want to be with you
Any old place.
Friends have fun with you.
Friends share
They’re glad when you’re happy---
When you’re sad, they care.
If you’re a friend
Then you care, too.
That’s why your friends
Are glad you’re you!!!
